Country Charmer Update - June 2

I'm linking with Lesley of The Cuddle Quilter for an update on the Country Charmer QAL. This beautiful quilt was designed by Lynn Wilder of Sew'n Wild Oaks. Lynn is super creative and her patterns are well written. There are several of her quilt patterns on my one day soon list. The QAL has the cutest blog button (see my sidebar) designed by Sue of Quilt Times.

My progress has been limited non-existent since our last update. All of my sashing strips and most of my nine patch units wait for pressing. You can certainly tell pressing would be good from the picture! This is a go at your own pace QAL and I am comfortable being exactly where I am on this quilt. I have gotten great pleasure from sorting, petting and playing with the completed block units. I love Lynn's Country Charmer pattern!

I'm going to cheat (just a wee bit of fudging!) and also link this post with Kim of Kim's Big Quilting Adventure for Scrap Basket Sunday. Not a stitch was sewn this past week; however, my Country Charmer is definitely scrappy.

Beautiful quilt Donna! I love the fussy cut A,B,C,D in the center of one of them. Thank you so much for making my pattern. ~~Lynn

Ditto Lynn! That little block made me giggle! Has Miss Cha Cha added her pawprint of approval yet?

Donna, your blocks are so great! Love that little butterfly...you have such neat fabrics here! I think your sashing has just the right amount of contrast...it really sets off the blocks so well. Thanks for linking up!

Beautiful blocks and the sashing is perfect.

I have that pattern too but haven't started it yet--I can't decide what fabrics I want to use. I do think I want it scrappy but in a color-controlled way. Meanwhile, I can watch yours coming together--lovely!

Your sashing is wonderful on this top, it really sets off your pretty blocks. Can't wait to see more when you are able!
