My Country Charmer Journey

The journey began with this ..
Lynn Wilder of Sewn Wild Oaks' Lovely Country Charmer Pattern
Quilters around the world responded with this ....
Quilt-along organized by Lesley of The Cuddle Quilter and inspiring blog button designed by Sue of Quilt Times.
I fell in love with Lynn's quilt! I ordered my pattern from Inbetween Stitches and committed to the quilt-along.. I freaked when the pattern arrived - "zillions" of very, very small (to me) pieces No way! I then decided to make one block with scraps ..
My First Block
I was totally amazed - all the pieces fit without stretching or cussing - and the block came out the correct size I tried my luck a second, third and fourth time The blocks are such fun!

Thank you, Lynn for the wonderful instructions and that super fantastic layout sheet.
Thank you Lesley for organizing the quilt along
Thank you Sue for the quilt along button
You girls are so Wonderful!

My quilt top has been finished for a while I plan to have it quilted early 2014. So I have nothing new to show you except the journey of this morning's photo session.
First I moved some furniture around, carefully smoothed my quilt top on the living room floor and climbed on top of the couch for a few photos I forgot something because I got this ...
The naughty quilt inspector!
Ms Cha Cha runs from the camera when she is the subject of the picture! Change the situation where she is not needed and she becomes a camera hog!
The best non-Cha Cha pictures I could get from the living room.
Not anxious to get down and climb up on the couch a second time, I relocated to the bed room with my quilt. Look what I got ....
Naughty, naughty, naughty Ms Cha Cha in action.
The best of the non-Ms Cha Cha pictures from the bedroom.
The photo shoot is done or should I say I  give up? Ms Cha Cha Cat is off on a new adventure. What is this? Did I suddenly grow three feet?

What an exciting, fun journey this has been for me. I love my Country Charmer.

Go HERE to see the lovely Country Charmer(s) from all around the world, If you haven't made your Country Charmer yet, start now You will be oh so glad you did.

On a personal side note - my nephew, Scott, is at Brooks Rehab in Jacksonville, FL slowly recovering from the traumatic brain injury as a result of a hit-and-run 10/5/13. Your continued prayers are most appreciated.

Happy quilting!

What a fun post. I'm so glad you had help during the photo-shoot. Ms Cha Cha Cat's input must have been invaluable. I love your quilt, it looks very soft and cuddly.

I was wondering about your nephew too so thanks for the update.

Mrs Cha Cha and Daisy have obviously read the same 'how to help a quilt photographer' leaflet.

Best wishes to Scott.

Your CC is a beauty. I love your fabric and fussy cutting. It's something you will always treasure.

George kitty started to follow me this morning when I took the quilts out...he assisted in laying out the big CC then lost interest and left me in the chilly morning air by myself! Cha Cha just knows a great quilt when she sees it...and since it was created in her house it must be hers! I'm glad to hear Scott is progressing...I do Believe in Miracles
