Update

Surgery to relieve pressure on Scott's brain was performed Friday night. Scott, my nephew, remains unconscious yet holding his own from the hit-and-run October 5th. My family waits. Life for us changed in an instant. We cling to our faith.

"I have set the Lord always before me, because He is my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth; my flesh also shall rest in HOPE." Psalms 16:8-9 KJV

Thank you to all who have been praying for us. Even though I may not have responded to you personally, please know I am most appreciative.

There has been no sewing this past week. My Scrappy Triangles blocks sit on the design wall ready for sashing and the additional yard of fabric I needed for this did arrive this week.

I will get back to it. I am linking with Kim of Kim's Big Quilting Adventure for Scrap Basket Sunday.

The Christmas QAL & Challenge for October continues today. Joanna of Needles, Thread, Happiness is the lovely hostess for this month. My applique sits exactly where it was a month ago and may not see progress for a while but that, too I will get back to.

The crazy brown specks on the Where She Should Not Be! black Ms Cha Cha Cat below are catnip. She has been rolling and rolling in Catnip Heaven!

We're thinking of you this weekend, Donna, and hoping for the best. Ms. Cha Cha offers you some comic relief I bet.

You and your family are in my prayers, especially Scott.

You remain in our prayers. Scott's accident and diagnosis is very similar to our DIL's brother who was struck in September. He, too, is 31 years old. The road is very long and, yes, life changes in an instant.

My son suffered a Traumatic Brain injury as a result of a car accident on nov 11, 2009. The prognosis was grim and we wer given little chance that he would live, much less recover. However, we were blessed with a miracle and Alex has had an amazing recovery. He was able to return to college and graduate and is now in Graduate school. He was in a coma for 2 1/2 weeks and spent many months in rehab but I want you to know that there is hope. It is long and difficult but Scott's family needs to know that miracles happen. I am praying for this young man and his family at this incredibly difficult time.
